It is vital that artists communicate and share information with one another. That is why, there’s The Guild Daily. It is an “all new” venue for valuable news pertaining to the professional arts, entirely contributed and shared among Guild AP and participating member artists. Its effectiveness is a direct result of information you provide. You will find valuable news bulletins, America’s ten most wanted companies, artist interviews, contacts, tips of the trade, postings of poor companies vs. good ones, the ins and outs of freelance, powerful contract agreements, strategic negotiations and just about anything you can think of important to our members. In turn, this knowledge will help create awareness and improve standards across the board. The members invite all professionals to share their personal experiences and ex- change information. The Guild Daily is limited only to the imagination and level of participa- tion of its members. The Guild Daily provides powerful news to its users and we hope it will become a valuable resource for you. There are no fees associated with the membership. You only need to qualify. Your privacy is protected and upheld.
The Rat Pact...
Is a portion of The Guild Daily dedicated to holding companies accountable for their actions regarding poor compensation, contracts and unethical behavior. Have you ever wanted to report a company for their measely tactics, unmindful contracts, poor pay, failure to pay or their just plain “ol” disregard for artists? Rat them out! We’ll keep tabs on them. By informing us, you’ll provide precious information that other members can draw upon. “The Rat Pact” is one of the Guild’s tactics of acquiring information. This programs effective- ness is a direct result of information you provide. Information gathered via The Rat Pact is reviewed, investigated for validity, then posted by The Guild Daily. Your privacy is protected and upheld. If you, or anyone you know has knowledge of a company or any other, who is operating in a fashion that may be deemed as “unethical”, “below par” or just plain questionable, please rat them out to the Guild committee so that we may investigate the matter. In addition, we would to like to hear of any positive experiences you may have had with companies. We would like to hear which companies practice fair or excellent ethical standards, offer good pay and execute noteably well written and advantagious agreements. Company names and any other relative input will also be posted by The Guild Daily.
